Fun, but make sure to take cash and not be in a hurry! It takes a while to get your food or order, especially on a busy night but most of the girls are nice!! Wish their actual food quality was a little bit better.

The Kiltie is a local favorite! I've been coming here for 50 years and other than prices, nothing has changed. That is a good thing. Their food is consistently excellent, particularly the onion rings and ice cream. They do not skimp on portions either. The car hops run their booties off. My dog loves the pup cups. Plus it feels very old school (which it is and probably explains why people crowd to this place and bring their kids and grandkids.)

It's typical drive-in food, delivered car side, like in the good old days! It's also one of the last drive-ins around, so be sure to go, if you've never been to one! Typical food is burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, malts, sodas, and custard. This place adds a a lot of other items to the menu, including, chicken, fish sandwiches, and jalapeno poppers, and you can pretty much customize your order to your heart's content. The servers wear Kiltie t-shirts, and plaid mini-skirts, kind of like a kilt, get it????? We arrived on a motorcycle, so we parked in the very last parking spot at the end of the sidewalk and sat there to eat, since there was no where to place a tray on a bike. We ordered cheeseburgers, a coke, a chocolate malt, and split an order of fries. Not gourmet, but as delicious as any other drive in I've been to over the years. Come for the experience, stay for the custard! 33/2024

Burger, fries and some concoction that features custard- you can't lose. Still features friendly car hops to take orders and deliver food. It's delightful. This was a high school hang out for us, so glad it still thrives. (It is exactly the same.) Warning- cash only!

Tasty ice cream and custard, I just wished they had given me napkins to finish it off before it instantly started melting in my hands. Other than that, I have no complaints--the ice cream had a super fresh and tangy raspberry flavor and a rich and creamy custard topping that I'll be craving for months to come ~

Kiltie was packed when we pulled in on a Tuesday night, but the service was still prompt in spite of that. The food was delicious (if the burgers were a tad plain the flavorful sides of onion rings and mozzarella sticks more than made up for it). You can eat at the outdoor picnic tables or in your car like an old fashioned drive in. The ambience was friendly and fun, with lots of families when we stopped in. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a full five stars is they made one of our burgers wrong, and the prices were a bit high for what we got. Be aware that they only accept cash as payment. But I highly recommend this spot, whether for a meal or just a frozen treat, and I can see why they have so many regulars who stop in!

If you happen to be in Oconomowoc you must stop at Kiltie's for a treat!! My GPS did not work exactly right, but Kiltie's is located on a kind of frontage road, adjacent to the highway. Not much has changed at the Kiltie as far as signage, menu and car-hop service....awesome!! If it ain't broke don't fix it! The server showed up fairly quickly and gave us just enough time to peruse the menu and decide on our food. And guess what the server was wearing...a KILT. So appropriate. We enjoyed our food which consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich, and hot dog and fries. We were in a rush so we'll have to check out the ice cream next time. The fries were our favorite dish. The car adjacent to us said she's been coming here for years and loves it. And if I lived nearby, I would definitely be a regular customer, too.

**Cash Only** Kitlie has really stepped up their game the last couple of years! They have upgraded their menu and I am a huge fan of the new items. Lets start off that it is an old school drive in. A perfect place to bring your family, friends, and even go out on a date to. I love the concept and the fact that the tray sits on your window. Yall, ever since I tried the chicken dinner I have yet to go back to a burger or hot dog. The burgers are typical but the specialty dogs can be hit or a miss with the bun getting soggy. BUT the fried chicken is honestly one of the best I have had, what a statement. The skin is so darn crispy it is unbelievable. Even when the chicken cools, the skin stays crispy. It really is magic. Seasoned delicious magic. (pro tip! Get a side of cheese for your fries ;) Since the chicken dinner was so good, I had to try the chicken wings and the chicken wings come to a close second. You have the option of mild or hot and the sauce is incorporated with the breading topped with more seasoning. This is not a saucy wing and I would not consider the hot to be spicy at all. Do not skip out on the chicken here. As for everything else, I recommend the onion rings, mozz sticks (wonton wrapped!), jalapeno poppers, mini corn dogs, and all their custard. My personal favorite is a vanilla malt with extra malt because it is the right slurpable consistency. My one complaint about Kiltie is that when it is packed and you are parked 3 cars deep, it is impossible to see the menu without stepping out of your car and they do not provide any paper menus. Come on a week day and you shouldn't have any problems.
